Acicastello and Acitrezza

The senses tell Acicastello and Acitrezza

vista
Sunrise on the Stacks of Aci Trezza

This is certainly one of the most beautiful sights offered by the Etnean landscape.
The view of the Stacks, with the sun rising in the middle, will certainly be worth waking up at dawn.

gusto
The fish of Aci Trezza

Aci Trezza is famous for being a small fishing village. Here it is still possible to watch small boats with lamps go fishing in the shallows at night.
The flavour of the fish brought back by these fishermen, perhaps purchased directly from the Fish Market next to the port, is not easily forgotten.

tatto
The erosive action of the sea

The beach of Aci Trezza is certainly not one of the most comfortable around. Though these volcanic products are at least 500,000 years old, the sea has not yet had time to form a real sandy beach. It is possible to lose yourself in the miracle-working action of the pebbles on the Aci Trezza beach, by lying down on them.

udito
The fish market of Aci Trezza

The fish market is where fishermen sell their products to local fishmongers in the early hours of each day. In Aci Trezza, it is located just north of the small harbour. It is worthwhile to go and hear the shouting by all the fisherman to sell as much fish as possible.

olfatto
The scent of the sea acicast

The coast between Aci Castello and Aci Trezza is one of the Etnean places where you can fully appreciate the scent of the sea, especially when the sea breeze rises around lunchtime.
