Scenes of rural sacrifice have also been discovered in other private homes.
In Lillebonne, the ancient Juliobona, in Upper Normandy, a floor mosaic similar to the one in the hall of the “small hunt” at the Villa del Casale was found.
With a different representation, four hunting scenes are arranged around a central tondo, occupied by the mythological characters Orpheus and Eurydice.
One of them depicts a rural sacrifice in which some characters, before an effigy of Diana, offer incense on an altar. Among them is a deer, an iconographic attribute of the goddess of hunting.
