Giorgio di Faccio, from Piedmont, is known for his work as an architect in the city of Palermo from 1559 to 1592. Without a doubt, his most famous work in the Sicilian capital was the Church of San Giorgio dei Genovesi, located in the ‘Loggia’ district near “la Cala”. He died in Palermo in 1592 and was buried in the Chapel of Madonna della Grazia, found in the church of the Pietà monastery.
