You are in one of the quietest places Sicily has to offer. In fact, the high altitude does not allow for much fauna, so what you will hear is just the sound of the wind, often harsh, and the explosions of the nearby north-eastern crater....

The Val Calanna and, more generally, the Valle del Bove, are far from inhabited centres. Find somewhere comfortable to sit and at some point you will hear your first explosion from the summit craters!...
There is nothing more powerful than the stormy sea. If you are lucky, go to the edge of the timpa during a storm coming from the east and you will hear the real power of the sea, so intense that the ground beneath you vibrates, too....
The fish market is where fishermen sell their catch to local fishmongers in the early hours of each day. In Aci Trezza, it is located just north of the small harbour. It is worthwhile to go and hear the shouting by all the fisherman to sell as much fish as possible....
